STYLE GURU STYLE: Loving Fringe

Lately, anytime I see any ‘70s-inspired clothing, I swoon. I am in love with it all, from the bell bottom jeans and culottes to the crazy platform sandals and Led Zeppelin music (yes, I am aware songs are not clothes). But there is one fashionable item that stands out to me the most: anything with fringe. Which explains precisely why the Emilio Pucci fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection called out to me.

The Emilio Pucci fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection consisted of many elaborate pieces including bold black and white geometric patterns, bright red dresses and billowy garments, but it was the detail of fringe bags and jackets that really caught my eye and my heart. After viewing this show, I just had to attempt my own amalgamation of runway-inspired attire.

Unlike the very dressy aspect of the Emilio Pucci show, I wanted to portray a more boho chic vibe with a causal aspect. For starters, I sported a brown suede leather vest decorated with a never-ending amount of fringe as the statement piece. The best part is this stylish item gave me the bohemian guise that I had been dreaming of. By pairing the vest with black jeans and a white graphic T-shirt (or you can make the wardrobe better by wearing a favorite band shirt) I kept the fringe the main attraction. Last of all, I wore a broken in pair of brown boots and classic aviator sunglasses for that instant cool girl ambiance.

Now, while wearing my ‘70s-inspired boho chic ensemble, I am fully prepared and equipped to rock out to some splendid Led Zeppelin tunes.

Get My Look: 1. A leather fringe vest. 2. Black flared jeans. 3. A graphic T-shirt.
