STYLE GURU STYLE: Jumpin’ For Jumpsuits

Floral patterns and more flowy silhouettes are just a few things that summer fashion can’t live without. Summer is a time to feel a little more carefree, happy and light on your feet, and I like it when my wardrobe reflects these sentiments. Therefore, I was inspired the alice + olivia spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, where floral patterns and carefree vibes were exactly what I like to see in my summer outfits.

I noticed that there were many pieces that incorporated the trouser look in the spring collection, just like in Look 28, which I love because I think that wide leg trousers are very flattering and really elongate a woman’s legs. Plus, the best part about wide-leg pants is that they don’t suffocate your legs, so you are free to prance around like the carefree woman you are. In addition, I noticed that many of the looks were centered around a lot of vibrant and fresh floral patterns, which were very crisp and feminine.

Inspired by this collection, I decided to wear my floral wide leg jumpsuit with an apron neckline. When I bought this piece, I knew that it would be a standout and fun to style for many different occasions. It’s fun and flirty but also has a touch of class. And when you turn around, the back has a cool lace-up detailing that is both sexy and sweet. In my opinion, it is the perfect piece for summertime.

To accessorize, I just went for some gold jewelry including some delicate gold rings and necklaces and a pair of chandelier earrings. Underneath the jumpsuit, I also wore a pretty burnt red bralette because I thought it added some extra details to the look. Finally, I wore some black wedges, mostly because the pants of the jumpsuit dragged on the floor but also because they gave me some more height.

Get My Look: 1. Floral patterned jumpsuit. 2. Lace bralette. 3. Wedges.
