STYLE GURU STYLE: Full-Fledged Edge

Edgy leather skater skirts and floral tops with plunging necklines, Fausto Puglisi’s resort 2017 collection is the definition of rocker chic. Though most of the outfits are a bit too much for everyday wear, it’s easy to break the collection down into a more accessible concept: leather and floral. Or even better, faux leather and floral. Choosing faux leather saves your bank account and animals- and it still looks just as cute! Score!

I don’t follow fashion shows too much; I’m more about creating your own personal style regardless of what is trendy at the time. Couture fashion is art, however, and I love to admire it when I find the time. Resort 2017 collections have just been released and now is the perfect time to admire what’s new in the world of fashion. This time around, I found myself wanting to incorporate some of Puglisi’s show into my wardrobe. Sadly, I knew that there was no way I could get my hands on one of his pieces any time soon. I may be a Fashionista, but College also plays a major role. I’m a broke college student just like the rest of them! So I searched my own closet to see how I could emulate Puglisi’s edgy look without spending any of that much needed coffee money.

I paired my pleated faux leather skirt with this floral top (secretly a romper!) and some black booties. Add a little confidence and this is definitely something that can work whether you’re a model or a college student!

Get My Look: 1. Leather skirt. 2. Floral top. 3. Delicate necklace. 4. Black ankle boots.
