STYLE GURU STYLE: Free-Flowing In Floral

For me, the definition of feminine fashion conjures images of lace, pastel tones and floral patterns. The Blumarine resort 2016 collection incorporates just that into its runway look. The models are sporting both beautiful, ’60s style flowing garbs and preppy short dresses reminiscent of the 1950s. I love the versatility of this collection: no two outfits are the same and each has a unique spin to it. Any of these looks could easily be translated to every day wear on any campus.

If you guys haven’t figured out by now, I kind of have a major obsession with rompers (it’s a real problem, let me tell you). So of course, I translated this runway look into my favorite piece of clothing for the summer. My romper has the kimono-type of feel that I saw in a few of the looks in the resort 2016 Collection, especially in look 23. I love the flowing and boho feel of this romper, while the floral pattern adds a feminine touch to the outfit.

Since the romper itself has so much going on, I decided to pair the outfit with some simple gold jewelry. The feather bangle added to the boho feel of the outfit while a few gold rings completed the hippie-chic look. The braid in my hair was also a shoutout to the simple style of the free-spirited ’60s. My statement earrings added a pop of vintage light color to the dark top of the romper. I threw on a pair of simple, neutral-colored wedges to finish off the busy outfit.

Get My Look: 1. Floral romper. 2. Killer pair of wedges. 3. Statement earrings. 4. Gold bangles.
