STYLE GURU STYLE: Fall For This

School is about to start, which means change is upon us. It’s almost time to learn a new class schedule, meet new professors and students, become reacclimated to a new weekly routine and say hello to those sleepless nights of doing homework and submitting online exams. Among these familiar changes and many more, there’s one big change that personally I am looking forward to very much: the seasons changing. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer with its warmth, relaxation and everything it has to offer, but I am so ready to start bundling up in my jeans, sweaters, jackets, boots and most of all, scarves! Fall is by far my favorite season. It’s truly a gorgeous time of the year with the leaves changing colors and the crispness in the air. In the J.Crew fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I absolutely adore the use of navy blues, stripes, tribal patterns, oversized sweaters and chunky scarves.

I can’t wait to break out my fall attire and I’ll admit, I’m excited to go shopping for some new items to add to my collection (sorry wallet). My fall wardrobe consists mainly of dark wash denims, tall brown and black riding boots, scarves, vests, utility jackets and pretty much anything in the color of olive green. I can already promise you one thing, I’m going to be practically living in this utility jacket that I got from J.Crew.

I look at the J.Crew fall 2015 collection and it gives me inspiration for the upcoming season that’s almost here. I’m not trying to rush summer out the door or anything, but keep in mind that your summer wardrobe doesn’t have to completely die and vanish just because seasons are changing and the weather is getting cooler. Take your dresses and skirts and pair them with tights, boots and a cardigan or sweater to make them appropriate for fall weather. Adding layers and warmth to your favorite summer items allows you to wear them for multiple seasons.

Get My Look: 1. Olive green utility jacket. 2. Riding boots. 3. Neutral scarf.
