STYLE GURU STYLE: Dress To Impress

Life as a college student and Fashionista can be complicated. Between staying up to date on latest trends straight from the runway, keeping up with various social media outlets and balancing a packed class schedule, things can get a little tricky. Although things may get chaotic at times, I found that it’s much easier taking it all on while dressed to impress.

With each season comes a new set of trends, these can be almost impossible to ignore as you pass by storefront displays. Some have more hype attached to them than others, while some glide smoothly under the radar. After viewing the A.L.C pre-fall collection, I found just the inspiration I needed to head into fall full force.

Although the collection is comprised mainly of your classic black and white, there’s still some color variety within. From flowing fabrics to body slimming pieces, the collection is perfect from start to finish. The combination of soft fabrics and buckles made for a simple, yet edgy outfit.

To recreate this look, I decided to change it up slighty. I chose a racer front knit tank top, pairing it with a pair of belted jogger pants. I opted out of wearing boots for this look and instead added a pair of beaded sandals. Finishing off the look, I chose a round pair of rose gold sunglasses; I don’t feel an outfit is ever complete without the right pair of shades!

Life can sometimes start get ahead of you and make things chaotic. But when that happens, I’ve learned that the solution is simple. Instead of letting it get the best of you, sometimes it helps to take a step back and pause. Taking the extra time to put together an outfit even though you just want to throw on a T-shirt and leggings can change everything.

Get My Look: 1. A knit tank top. 2. A pair of jogger pants. 3. Statement sandals.
