STYLE GURU STYLE: Cool In the Cold

The weather outside is frightful, but your outfit doesn’t have to be! Don’t compromise this holiday season with outdated outerwear and boring sweatshirts. Anyone can pull off this lush look in the cold with lots of layering. Look wonderful this winter with warm fuzzy neutral sweaters paired with cool motorcycle jackets.

The most unique things can be found when thrift shopping by becoming more of an open-minded Fashionista/o and searching through recycled clothing. I am wearing a black moto jacket that I thrift-shopped locally. This edgy gem pairs a textured knit with leather for a hip style. You can shop this look at Forever 21 and own a cute faux leather moto jacket. I am also wearing a fuzzy sweater with studded details. While this piece is unique, anyone can have this look by adding their own studs onto a sweater for a DIY project! This look can be recreated with the J.O.A. Metallic Fuzzy Sweater from Nordstrom. For extra warmth, layer the sweater with a pretty T-shirt. For this ensemble I choose a lustrous tan key-hole top. The tops are paired with simple, well fit skinny jeans. For ultimate comfort in the colder seasons, wear leggings under them! The skinny jeans blend right in to the beautiful black color of leather Converse. Converse are causal, but leather ones are super chic!

This outfit is accessorized with gold necklaces and dangle earrings. I am wearing a gold platted name necklace with “Jessica” written in cursive. Wearing necklaces with names is such a hot trend. I also am wearing a long pendant necklace with an hour glass inside of it. Such small details like these necklaces can become great conversation starters! This look is styled with beautiful hair buns. The buns add a fun and youthful look to the whole outfit. To complete this outfits neutral color palette, I used nude lipstick. Great Fashionistas consider accessories from head to toe, including makeup! To create a nude lip use NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in Madere Color.
