STYLE GURU STYLE: Blanket Scarf Bundle

The wind is getting faster, the leaves are changing colors, the air is getting crisper and the fashion is getting better, whats not to love? We all know fall is by far the best time of the year for fashion lovers, so why not embrace that style as long as we can? This wonderful season isn’t just all about the pumpkin spice lattes or pumpkin patch visits, its about taking ideas from all of the fall 2015 ready-to-wear collections and creating your own look. One of my favorites this season was Saint-Tokyo’s twist on a modern, yet grunge-ish look for fall.

We all know fall fashion is typically known for those muted tones of burnt orange, maroon or even olive, but Saint-Tokyo stood out in my eyes. Sticking with the olive tones, he added grays and blacks to give it an edgy twist which in my opinion was fantastic. Graphic T-shirts, layering and many textured pieces adorned many of his designs, which created a more voguish idea of fall fashion—which I can confidently say is trending.

In keeping this look toned down yet giving it my own twist for every day casual attire, I paired a dark denim with an olive cargo jacket. Channeling my inner Saint-Tokyo, I picked a heeled combat boot to add that edgy fall look I was going for. Last but not least, I had to stick with one of my favorite fall fashions by adding a textured blanket scarf to the mix, tying the entire outfit together! Sometimes the edgy look may be intimidating, but taking pieces or ideas from certain designers or collections and creating your own toned down look gives you the perfect balance and fall look that stands out!
