STYLE GURU STYLE: Beach Bold

With the summer coming to a close, it’s time to think about exciting fall trends like daring pattern matching and layered looks. But if you aren’t ready to let go of your sun dresses and sandals, the resort 2016 shows will have you planning your winter getaway as soon as possible.

Among the boldest and best resort shows was Trina Turk’s colorful Southern California line, complete with neon geometric and floral prints. She paired breezy fuchsia pants with a paisley blouse and an ankle length caftan with an oversized sweater. The looks embrace the vibrant colors that the designer is known for and makes them even bolder for a winter escape to warmer weather.

I took Trina Turk’s beachy vibe and turned it into my own style with these cotton tribal shorts. The blue and white pattern tones down the bold neons in the resort collection, but maintains the tropical feel. I paired the shorts with an off-white tank top with white embroidery around the neckline. My shoes are also off-white and white and have the look and feel of an animal skin.

I love my accessories, so to keep with the beachy theme I had on flash tattoos and gold and silver Alex and Ani bangles to match. No outfit of mine would be complete without my Michael Kors watch or my Juicy Couture lock necklace. To polish it off I wore my collection of silver and turquoise rings for that bohemian style.

Get My Look: 1. Cotton shorts in a bold pattern. 2. An embroidered tank top. 3.Flash tattoos.
