STYLE GURU STYLE: An Elie Saab Spring

Spring runway shows have come and gone and the fashion world is preparing for fall, but I am still stuck on the spring 2015 couture collection by Elie Saab. There is something about couture shows that always captures my attention. I love the incredible attention to detail that goes into each and every garment. It’s amazing to think the designers were able to create something so beautiful, often using completely hand-executed techniques. The amount of time that Elie Saab must have put into this collection was worth every minute in my opinion. Each look was unique, and the collection as a whole was wonderfully aesthetic.

It’s easy to channel inspiration from this spring show since the spring weather is so beautiful here now. The sun has been shining and making me want to pull out my brightest colors, so I opted for a vibrant yellow dress when shopping for a formal event I have coming up. I think Elie Saab would approve of the sheer cutouts and eyelet lace overlay on this piece. The dress also features an open keyhole back and full skirt, which make it both feminine and fun.

With a stand out dress, you need only simple accessories. I’m wearing an understated strappy nude heel and a teal earring for a small pop of color against the yellow.

Get My Look: 1. Love my dress? Get it for yourself! 2. My earrings are chloe & isabel. Here’s another turquoise pair that would work. 3. On my feet are Steve Madden patent sandals.
