STYLE GURU BIO: Wendy Pan

Welcome back, everybody! My name is Wendy and I’m a sophomore in the College of Business at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I’m pleased to say this is my third semester interning with CollegeFashionista and I’m stoked to present the latest fashion trends this campus has in store for us this season.

Before I introduce myself further, can you believe that it’s fall already? I’m still having a hard time grasping the fact that a year has flown by right before me and I’m no longer a wide-eyed freshman anymore. When people say that college is the fastest four years of your life, they aren’t joking and it terrifies me how fleeting these moments and so-called milestones are. One moment you’re moving into your freshman dorm room and the next you’re celebrating your last teenage year. Nonetheless, I’m elated that fall semester has just begun, which means it’s finally socially acceptable to pull out the cozy sweatersleather jackets and ankle boots from the back of your closet. I can reassure you that I’ve already reunited with my favorite fall wardrobe pieces despite the still warm summer weather and I have no shame in it whatsoever.

Everyone has their own reasons as to why fall is their favorite season. They’ll tell you all about the scenery, football games and of course, the notorious pumpkin spice lattes. But fall is more of a fresh, clean slate to me despite being in the middle of the year. To me, this season is the perfect time to start on new ventures and to challenge yourself to be a better version of you. This semester, I really want to take the time out to fully grow and develop a deeper connection with my passions in unexplored ways. I’m looking forward to being enraptured by the moments that encompass us and I’m excited for another semester with CollegeFashionista.
