STYLE GURU BIO: Tori Romano

Hey fashion lovers! My name is Tori Romano and I am a rising junior at Sacred Heart University. I am majoring in Marketing with Fashion and Digital Marketing minors. This will be my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I couldn’t be more excited. Fashion has always been one of my biggest passions. Every time I see a new fashion trend, I start to sweat with excitement. I love the way different styles of outfits describe different people =. It gives you a little insight to a person before you start to communicate with them. Growing up, I loved playing dress up. Pretending I was a princess at a ball or a world-class singer. I always made sure I had the perfect outfit on, even if it was just pretend.

As for my personal style, it has grown as I have grown. As I turned 20, I have been looking for more sophisticated clothing instead of crop tops. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good open back dress, but for my day-to-day look, I like to stick with the classics. After spending most of my summer going in and out of NYC, I have picked up a little more of a sophisticated style. One of my many purchases this summer was a white blazer from Century 21. I am completely obsessed with the sophistication of it and how you can dress it up or down. I have worn this blazer with a tight dress or boyfriend jeans, it has been one of my best investments. It’s light and edgy because of its silver zipper placement and shoulder pads. My style is pretty much based of the ‘70s. My friends always tell me I was born in the wrong decade.

I am so exciting to be back reporting fashion trends on campus. Keep up with me all semester for exclusive fashion advice and upcoming trends. You don’t want to miss out on all the exciting fashion Sacred Heart University students have to offer.
