Hello Fellow Fashionista/os! My name is Tiffany and I am a Major of Media Studies with a Double Minor in Economics and English at the University of Toronto Scarborough. As a first time Style Guru, I would describe my style as everyday classy.

After all, it was Coco Chanel who said: “I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little, if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny. And it’s best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.”

If today is my date with destiny, I am going to look my best! To stay everyday classy, I stock my wardrobe with basics. I like to buy pieces that I can tweak or match with something else, making it possible to wear for the next five years.

For example, I love pale colored blazers. It is different from the sea of black blazers, yet still classy. If you fall in love with a blazer style for a good price, try buying it in different colors. This way you have a stylish blazer for every occasion.

I also love big bags! A beautiful large bag is perfect, when bought in a versatile color that could go with most of your outfits. If you choose a colorful bag, make sure that it’s a color you are comfortable with! A large tote-like bag is wonderful because you can easily throw your notes into it, your make up and your wallet! This particular bag is from Michael Kors. I believe that every bag you purchase is an investment. I always make sure a bag is well made and sturdy before purchasing. If I fall in love with a bag, I will bring it with me to school, to a movie, and even to an interview. A big tote bag is something that I cannot live without!

I have a ring that I wear every single day. It was a gift from my mother for my 19th birthday. This ring is what I am best known for. All of my friends can attest to having held my ring once or twice, whenever I need to take it off. I find this ring completely perfect due to its versatility. I have worn this ring as an everyday piece as well as to upscale events, like weddings. I never leave the house without this ring on! Find your own statement piece to make your own.

I believe that it is important to find your own style. The best way to do this is to find items that you like and to keep them as basics. This not only helps you build your wardrobe, it also helps others identify a piece as distinctly “you”. Whether that distinct piece is a blazer, a large bag or a ring, finding your own style is a wonderful journey to be on.
