STYLE GURU BIO: Taylor Teutsch

Hi! I am not exactly sure how to go about starting this bio but I guess I’ll just go for it. I honestly don’t want to start off listing all the basic information about myself ( like my name, college, major, etc.). Those icebreakers may be vital to know at some point in time, but I feel like getting to know someone is so much more complex. What if we all went around asking new faces their favorite designer or their can’t-live-without breakfast food? Getting to know a person’s most random and quirky features is quite important in building relationships.

If you want to get to know me for example, I am partial to Valentino on a high-end level, and Zara on an I-can-actually-afford-this level. Breakfast on the other hand is a pretty tough question, but I would have to go with my grandma’s pancakes. Shout out to my grandma. When I graduate I have a dream to go to California and work in/live in/be obsessed with California. My ultimate goal is to open my own boutique and have it truly reflect my style and love for fashion. I guess now that I’ve stated this it’s pretty simple to guess my major—fashion design at the University of Cincinnati.

Fashion has been on my radar from the good old days of sketching in my notebook and showing my mom my latest drawings. I really never thought about doing it for a living, but then I told myself, “I can actually do this!” Honestly, I don’t think I would be happy doing anything else. If my two sisters came with me, I would be set. The weirdest thing I tell people is the fact that all my sisters and I have the same birthday, two years apart from each other. Most people don’t believe me when I drop that bomb, but I swear my parents didn’t plan it. No, we aren’t in the Guinness World Records book, and yes, we tried to be. I guess God just really wanted us to share something. Maybe one day I can pass this Style Guru gift on to them.
