Hello all Fashionistas/os!
My name is Sarah Regan. I am in my last semester at the University of Guelph with a major in English literature. I have always had a strong passion for writing, mainly because it allows me to tap into my creative side, as well as gives me the opportunity to make my thoughts my own. I have always believed that you will truly live life when you are doing what you love to do, what excites and challenges your mind each and every day, and that something for me would be in writing, and I often find myself dreaming about either working for a newspaper or magazine.
Writing allows me to express my creativity, but so does FASHION, which is why I have such a passion for it as well. I believe that fashion is very important because it gives one the ability to express a part of themselves and their personality, and the beauty of it is that there are NO rules—it is all about owning your personal and individual style!
When it comes to my own style, I am often drawn towards pieces that are classic and feminine with neutral tones and sophisticated silhouettes and would name Olivia Palermo, Kate Bosworth, and just recently, Alicia Vikander as some of my fashion icons who have inspired my closet. As a film lover, I am also influenced by some of the refined looks of old Hollywood film, particularly Audrey Hepburn with her effortless style and simple staples: a classic white blouse, a basic black crew neck sweater, and the perfect pair of dark slacks.
I am truly excited to share my upcoming articles with you all and hope that you will give them a read. As for right now, you can probably find me sitting in a coffee shop away from the Canadian winter chill, drinking my favourite latté, and most likely wearing a turtleneck, just like this one!
