STYLE GURU BIO: Samuel Quintero

Hello back to all the fashion lovers out there! I am very excited to be part of CollegeFashionista again this spring semester. My name is Samuel Quintero, and I am currently a senior at Immaculata University where I am majoring in fashion merchandising with minors in marketing and graphic design.

I was born and raised in Mexico; I didn’t move to the United States until I was 11 years old. Moving here was perhaps one of the best decisions my family has ever made. It was here where I truly realized fashion was one of my biggest passions and now one of the paths to my future.

My style is so hard to describe. Although, if my style had a personality it would be extrovert. Why? Well simply because I think of my style as my personality, outgoing and expressive. Many say fashion has some rules, but that is not true because at this point I’ve broken all of them. Some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe are my shinny loafer shoes from ALDO and my black BDG twig high-rise pants from Urban Outfitters. People often criticize me for wearing girls clothes, but so what? They’re much more comfortable and cheaper.

For this particular ensemble I am wearing one of my favorite thrifted shirt. I paired this shirt with some black ripped jeans. It was a cold day so I threw on a couple of layers. The first one is a oversized cardigan from H&M and then a hooded jacket from PacSun. To finish off I am wearing my all  black Converse with my pink Tommy Hillfiger socks and sunglasses.
