STYLE GURU BIO: Nicole Moore

Hello everyone! My name is Nicole Moore and I am an English major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. This is my third semester writing for the wonderful site CollegeFashionista. I am originally from the L.A. area but currently am living on the Central Coast. I hope you remember all of the facts I have provided, as you will be quizzed.

I have deemed my attire as seen above as “a Goth who has decided to tone down her look in order to play tennis at the local country club.” To complete this outfit I would recommend taping a picture of The Cure’s Robert Smith onto the strings of a tennis racket. My skirt is from ASOS, my shoes are from Forever 21, my bag is Urban Outfitters and my top is from Ebay. Overall, my style can be best described as what a librarian who also happened to be a witch would wear. Basically, picture Stevie Nicks’ and Mr. Roger’s entire wardrobe being lumped together and somehow getting into my closest.

My favorite brands are Unif, Minkpink, Monki, Madewell and Anthropologie. Unfortunately, all those brands are rather expensive so most nights I cry myself to sleep thinking of how stylish I could be if I didn’t lose all my money at the race tracks. (Disclaimer I have never actually been to a horse race). Also, I enjoy going to thrift stores because I have limited funds and it’s a cheap way to stay up to date with my hoarding problem.

My fashion inspirations are Nicole Richie, Alexa Chung, Carrie Brownstein and our beloved ninth president William Henry Harrison. Just kidding. Harrison’s chic mid-1800s style is just a tad too preppy for my taste.

Anyway, I can’t wait to continue writing for this site. Thank you for reading!
