STYLE GURU BIO: Nicholas Sullivan

It is true when people say that time flies by when you are having fun, and this happens to be the case for my internship with CollegeFashionista. After being a Style Guru for only one semester, I have had an amazing experience that has not only helped my writing, but my own personal style. When I first started this internship, the main color in my wardrobe was black. Though I may still wear black quite often, this experience has helped me grow and develop as a Fashionisto. I am lucky to be a part of a program that is filled with so many other talented people that have inspired me in countless ways.

Now that it is summer, and my last semester at Washtenaw Community College, I am becoming more and more eager to start my fashion merchandising program at Central Michigan University in the fall. As I move from one college campus to the other, I cannot wait to feature Fashonista/os around my new campus.

For this outfit, I decided to put together an outfit that exemplifies my growth in style. I started out with a quilted white T-shirt. This basic piece is elevated by the quilted detailing, and since I love layering, I put a suede jacket over top. Since both of the top pieces make a statement, I decided to keep the pants simple, with a pair of light gray trousers. I styled the look with a pair of maroon suede boots with brogue detailing and finished it off with a pair of stylish sunglasses.

This summer, I hope to expand my skills and style even more, and of course showcase the Fashionista/os at Washtenaw Community College before I transfer.
