STYLE GURU BIO: Marina Jube

Hello, beautiful people. My name is Marina Jube and I am currently a junior at the University of New Haven in Connecticut! This is my first time writing for the amazing CollegeFashionista and I couldn’t be more excited! I am majoring in graphic design and marketing and minor in business management. I am a member of my campus’s Greek life, I run the social media for my Panhellenic Council, I am the vice president of the Photography Club and have a passion for fashion. So, being a Style Guru is right up my alley!

I am from the lovely island of Nantucket, off the coast of Massachusetts. Growing up on Nantucket, has really allowed me to see all different styles from nautical to boho (two of my favorites) and classic to grunge. White pants and navy dresses has really become a staple in my closet. When I went to college, I got to view classic looks and how to look great while being comfy for class. Thanks to Greek life, I also got to learn the beauty of business casual.

I find my personal style to be a collection of my experiences and what I see works on the people around me. I would call it an island classic. I wear boho, classic and nautical and I mix few and far between. Half of my outfits, just depend on my mood. If you take a look through my closet you’ll find navy, brown leather and statement pieces. I currently am obsessed with my boho heels that are featured in this post, floral and white everything! You’ll always find me with a good tote on my arm, usually one full of everything you could possibly need. You’ll also always see me rocking some boho rings (they never leave my fingers).

During my off time, I spend hours scrolling through Pinterest looking for new outfit ideas, snapping photos of everything and working on my blog. I love to spend my time surrounded by people. I’m also slightly obsessed with social media, but I’m pretty sure we all are. My favorite would definitely have to be Instagram. In the future, I would love to possibly pursue a career in digital marketing and to continue to travel the world (I’ve already lived in Paris and Belize).

With all that being said, I hope to have a great summer shared with all of you fellow Fashionistas/os!
