STYLE GURU BIO: Maria Guadagno

Hello! I’m Maria! I’m a student at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and Stern School of Business studying Film & Television, and Finance & Marketing. Living in New York City, it is essential to be conscious of style and to be confident in whatever you choose to be yours. I’m a big believer in dressing for comfort when it’s appropriate and that beauty should be pain when it is fitting.

I am a Long Island girl constantly daydreaming about the beach and genuinely believing that I should’ve been a mermaid. I am the definition of sorority girl, and my favorite things include Seamless and Netflix. I would classify my style as a combination of classic, preppy and feminine. I believe you can never go wrong with a timeless black, pearls go with everything and when in doubt, simplicity is key.

I like this outfit because it is pretty, polished and easy to pull off. The bright pink top and turquoise necklace complement each other and make the outfit perfectly optimistic for the start of summer. The bag is one of my absolute favorite go-tos. It is extremely practical, functioning both as a purse and a backpack with its changeable straps. It makes it easy to run around the city and in and out of class in style. Finally, the flats pull together the whole look for me. I think pointy toe flats are the perfect accessory and never fail to dress up a look.

When I’m not taking pictures of the stylish outfits I spot, I can be found bouncing from class, to my internship, to brunch in search of the perfect avocado toast. I am so excited to be working as a style guru this summer for CollegeFashionista and can’t wait to to show you some of my favorite looks!
