My name is Madeline Castleman, and I am currently a junior at Baylor University majoring in Apparel Merchandising with a minor in Business Administration. I am so excited to be writing for College Fashionista this semester! What an incredible opportunity this will be to further improve my written and communication skills. Fashion has such a strong presence on Baylor’s campus, and I can’t wait to highlight it on CollegeFashionista.
Ever since I was a young girl, I have been a fashion enthusiast and have always had a keen eye. I grew up with the dream to become a designer and make my own line one day in hopes of seeing it appear at New York Fashion Week. Through sewing classes, seminars and different courses I have taken at Baylor, my dream has shifted quite tremendously. When I entered college I was a design major and now as I near graduation, I have hopes of being employed as a buyer. I am in love with the business side of fashion and can’t wait to dive deep into it.
Not only do I love all things fashion but also I love to write. I started my own blog at the age of 15 and since then have changed the name and layout too many times to count. I love writing about things that excite me. Photographing people and places that bring me inspiration makes me so giddy. Once I get started taking pictures, you can’t stop me. I have yet to take a photography class, but it is on my list of things to do in the near future. No matter the post, I am always proud of the work I publish and the dedication and passion behind it.
