STYLE GURU BIO: Lauren Saltis

Hello my delicious Fashionistas/os! I am back again for my second semester at CollegeFashionista, woot woot! One semester was not enough time to capture everything that has inspired me on campus. I’m excited to get another chance to explore and share the world of fashion with you all in 2016.

Here’s a refresher about me for those who haven’t gotten to know me yet, or for those of you that can’t get enough of me. I’m a senior advertising major and public relations minor at Xavier University. My dreams include going to Portfolio school to master copywriting and then going on to take over the world of advertising afterwards. I love working with fashion and would love to incorporate that into a future career as well. I am still obsessed with being caffeinated at all times and making bacon at midnight.

My goal this semester includes bringing more street style inspirations to my posts. I love the edgy and sophistication that messy hair and sneaks bring to an outfit. I am on the hunt to find a denim muse, hair that changes my life and heels that set the world on fire. At the moment, I am crazy for Theory’s classic sweaters and basic tees, Madewell’s denim bar and Top Shop leather jackets. But tomorrow edgy styles could be dashed away for my love for blush tones and ballerina flats. I am one big ball of emotions that carry over into my wardrobe.

One quote that I live by is, “Style is the first thing they notice & the last thing they forget.” I love this quote because it captures the essence of how I think about style and fashion. That even in sweatpants, people take note of how you carry yourself more than what you actually wear. People will remember how you made them feel in reflection of how you feel about yourself.

Cheers my beautiful friends to a great semester!
