STYLE GURU BIO: Lacy Sears

Guys. It’s 2017. Meanwhile, I’m over here still trying to figure out what happened to 2016. Last semester was pretty crazy to say the least. Life has been backward, forward, and upside down. It keeps things interesting! Consistency is key though. So don’t worry, I’m still living off pizza and wine—probably until the day I die. I’m okay with it. Life has given me opportunities lately that I couldn’t pass up. I can’t even put into words how grateful I am to have been a part of the styling team at Luxuryia’s fashion show in November. The night was elating and definitely one for the books.

To the humans I have recently met: you are amazing. As you all know from my last bio, I am drawn to new places and the energy of meeting new people. It’s the driving force behind keeping me creative and on my feet. I tend to find inspiration in everything—the good, bad, ugly, and beautiful things in life. It’s all about perspective if you ask me. I try to surround myself with creative humans. It’s good for the soul. Kat Irlin will forever be in the “suggested” search of my Instagram, along with Alexander Wang and For Love & Lemons.

I was recently browsing through old photos and inevitably laughing at myself. It’s always interesting to see such a drastic change in style. What’s fashion without change though, right? My closet consists of neutral colors at the moment. I’m currently wearing everything oversized. Yes, I live in Florida, and yes, it’s normally 90 degrees, but you will still see me layered like it’s winter. I swear I look like a bum half the time, but I secretly love it. I’m also in love with anything vintage, like the denim jacket in this look. I won’t even begin to tell you how often I wear it. For the most part, I really don’t accessorize too much, but I threw on a choker and hat for something simple.

I’m still living in Tampa, for now. New York seems to be next in mind, but it’s me we’re talking about here, so you never know. Anything goes. If you don’t find me wandering around with my headphones in and camera in my hand, there must be something wrong. HELP. This year is starting to become full of trips, which is making me even more excited about this semester with CollegeFashionista. I just might have some ideas up my sleeve.
