Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Kylie Freeman and I am a student at Salisbury University, a small school in the state of Maryland. I’m a communications major with a love for all the girly things in life including beauty trends and makeup tutorials on YouTube. I am currently writing my bio with about 10 hours left until I board a plane for Nashville, TN. I have a huge fear of planes, but I travel somewhere new with my family and friends three or more times a year, which I count as a blessing.
This is my first summer as a Style Guru and I couldn’t be more excited! I come from a really small country town where fashion didn’t even exist other than athletic shorts and t-shirts everyday of high school. Since coming to college, I’ve found myself immersed on Pinterest and fashion blogs. I have found that I have a really preppy style with a nautical feel. I usually find myself in Vineyard Vines or Lilly Pulitzer, but I’m a sucker for a good deal at stores like Marshall’s or Nordstrom Rack.
My usual go to outfit is a pair of Jack Rodgers and a fun dress or romper. I pride myself on comfort, but doing it in a stylish way. In today’s look, I found myself in my favorite white jeggings, a simple high neck tank top (that was seven dollars!) and a pair of brown mules. I used to HATE heels and anything tight, but now I find myself obsessing over the latest trends, such as a fab pair of mules or wedges. I also always top my outfit off with a cute and simple necklace, earrings or watch and my favorite Ray-Bans.
Now that I’ve been given the opportunity to intern for CollegeFashionista for the summer, I hope my style can grow and I can begin to expand my closet while also sharing my favorite fashion must-haves and advice!
