STYLE GURU BIO: Kristina McInnis

Hello my fellow Fashionista/os!

I am back for my second year at CollegeFashionista. Yes, you heard that right, you haven’t gotten rid of me yet! This will be my junior year at Oregon State University (big gulp), and I am feeling closer to putting my toes in the fashion world and that means two years until I start adulting.  My time at CollegeFashionista has been nothing less of exciting. Creating partnerships and collaborations with big name companies such as BooHoo USA and Poppin, which opened huge doors for me. I have now partnered with over 25 companies and became an ambassador for Love Your Melon (they have the absolute cutest hats!) and also RocksBox, I mean who doesn’t love to get new jewelry every month?!

For those trendsetters just tuning in, here is a little about mwah. I am a huge animal lover and mom to my three furry babies; August, Ziggy and Bella. You can find me laying on a yoga matt in your local gym procrastinating my work out by scrolling through the latest Instagram posts (sometimes I even get thumb cramps), or waiting in line to try the newest churro restaurant downtown. I am a foodie down to the core so in my book, unless you’re Alexis Ren, why count calories? Portland is known for its constant rain so I’m lucky we are bundled up for most of the year, easy to hide those chicken wings from POK POK. This year I will be in my own real apartment. I know big step for me going from sorority house of 50 girls to only four *huge sigh of relief.* I will continue to study Merchandising Management and Business Entrepreneurship in hopes to put my degree to good use and one day become a stylist.

This summer was nothing less than magic. I worked for Sseko Designs as a style and content intern where I took on a seven day birthday sale and did just about everything under the sun. This year I will be reporting life from Portland, Oregon showing off my fellow Oregonians favorite trends. For this look I channeled a little bit of ’70s fashion with a button-up suede skirt and a mauve tank that I found on sale, my favorite four letter word. I am loving simple pieces and mixing and matching jewelry with some long necklace pieces for some balance. I paired a floppy grey hat to match my go-to pair of taupe booties. I am excited to grow my personal style this year and take junior year by storm.
