STYLE GURU BIO: Kaitlin Ziesmann

Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Kaitlin Ziesmann and I am a senior at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. I will be graduating next May with a degree in psychology and a minor in sociology. This will be my second semester working with CollegeFashionista and I could not be more excited!

Applying for this internship was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has pushed me to grow in my writing, photography and styling skills. It’s honestly unbelievable how much I have learned over these three short months, not only about myself but also what I want to do with my future. Last semester, I thought I’d be thinking about graduate schools around now, but CollegeFashionista has helped me to realize that my real passion lies somewhere in the fashion industry. My new dream is to one day own my own boutique, offering handpicked pieces that blend my favorite styles. I am currently working at an adorable boutique downtown and hope to immerse myself in the business side of it as well as styling clients. Guess it’s time to take a fashion marketing class!

Fall is by far my favorite season. The cool weather, the smells, the holidays and, of course, the style opportunities make it special. Fall is also the perfect time to combine my two favorite things in fashion- baggy sweaters and neutral colors. For this outfit, I put together a Brandy Melville oversized sweater with pair of black jeggings. These jeggings are about to become a staple for my fall wardrobe. They are comfortable enough to be worn to class but still stylish enough to wear out at night with friends. I decided to add a small backpack to the look since they are so on-trend right now. The one I am wearing is a simple, fabric backpack from Brandy Melville. I decided to really commit to the fall vibes and added a pair of black Frye boots. To finish off the outfit, I threw on a simple silver choker and my everyday necklace.

I can’t wait to keep sharing a little slice of my world with you all this upcoming semester. Be sure to follow me on social media to keep up-to-date on my articles every month!
