STYLE GURU BIO: Johna Mitchem

Hello CollegeFashionista lovers. My name is Johna Mitchem, and I am currently a junior at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame where I am studying business marketing. My love for fashion has always been a big part of my life. From a young age, I demoted my mom from picking out my outfits because I wanted to be the sole stylist in my life. Dressing up and placing outfits together have always been strong characteristics of mine.

I would best describe my style as a mixture of different styles. I can be feminine and preppy one day and the next be trendy and classic followed by a day of simple and casual. I can’t ever pin my style down to one thing, and I think that is what makes me so special. Another thing I find very important about my style is that I always dress for myself and in what makes me feel good; I never dress for others.

In this outfit, I am wearing some classic skinny jeans tucked into my favorite Michael Kors booties with a long sleeved black shirt with my most current obsession: a camel colored cape. I love that capes and ponchos have become a hot trend this year; I think they are such a nice classic touch to any outfit. This cute, Michael Kors leopard clutch just so happened to match this perfectly! Of course, no outfit is complete without jewelry, and I like to wear a lot of it! I think Alex and Ani bracelets are great for layering like I have here. Finally, there is my simple monogram that any southern girl knows is just a must!

I hope you all feel like you know me a little better now; You can follow me on Instagram, twitter, Pinterest etc. to learn more about me. Thank you so much for reading, and I can’t wait for a RAD semester!
