Hey everyone! My name is Jessa Gianotti and I am a senior at The College of New Jersey majoring in Journalism and Professional Writing with minors in Marketing and Pre-Law. This is my fifth and final semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I’m so sad to be writing my last STYLE GURU BIO already — and still in denial about graduating this spring.
My love for fashion started at an early age since my mother has always allowed me to dress myself, for better or for worse. Nowadays I can be mostly found in something casual and preppy, like riding boots and a blazer, especially since I work at J.Crew part-time. However, my brother, a fashion designer who has designed almost everything from handbags to suits to boxers, has taught me most of what I know about fashion and the industry.
As well as being a Style Guru since my junior year, I interned with the editorial team over this past summer. As much as I love writing and editing, I also love, love, love social media and working behind the scenes. During this past fall semester, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity work with the CollegeFashionista team in New York City as a marketing and social media intern. I had the best time and learned so much while working in the CollegeFashionista office and I’m still sad that the internship had to come to an end!
This semester I will be interning with alice + olivia in New York City three days a week. I can’t wait to learn even more about the fashion industry through this new internship program, and scope out new Fashionisto/as every week not only on my campus, but around New York City as well. Be sure to check out my posts every Friday!
