STYLE GURU BIO: Jeordyn Cassidy

“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous” —Coco Chanel

Hi there! My name is Jeordyn Cassidy and I am currently a freshman studying communications at the University of Delaware. For as long as I can remember, my life consisted of four things: fashion, makeup, writing, and taking photographs. I am hoping to morph each one of these aspects into a future job… working for a fashion magazine (fingers crossed)! Within this field, I can utilize my skills through fashion, photography, AND writing. So, it is easy to say that landing an internship with CollegeFashionista was a dream come true.

Okay, timeout, let’s play a game of two truths and a lie in order for you to get to know me a little better. Here we go: My favorite song is “Island in the Sun” by Weezer, I’ve been to Europe, and my roommate is also a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. Take your guess! My lie is… drum roll please… I’ve been to Europe. I, in fact, have never been to Europe but am itching to travel more; there is too much wanderlust circling my brain these days. This means that “Island in the Sun” is my favorite song; it’s impossible to be sad during those three minutes. And, it is also true that my roommate/best friend is also a Style Guru. In fact, she introduced me to the site, and I am forever grateful! Shout out to you, Shannon (@oteris).

For this look, I decided to show you how I dress to impress during those frigid, snowy days on campus. I would describe my fashion sense as “comfy, but definitely cute.” For this look, I paired a really pretty thermal long sleeve underneath a big, black puffer coat. For extra comfort and warmth, I put leggings underneath my jeans, which show through the rips and tears. I threw on some boots, and then to top everything off, I put on a floppy beanie to tie everything together.

I cannot wait to put together more looks for you throughout the spring. Want to see what I’m up to during the semester? Follow my Instagram; I would love to connect with you!
