STYLE GURU BIO: Hayley Pontia

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I started writing my first bio. I can honestly say this past year has been one of my favorites. Between traveling, meeting new people and clothing trends I really was able to use these experiences to influence my personal style in a way that’s starting to feel like me.

For this look, I chose something more feminine with it’s lighter, airy colors. My overall-denim top can easily be considered dressy or casual depending on what you are pairing it with. But the pockets are what really sold me when buying this piece. I love anything with pockets. This top also reminds me of a piece you would wear when you were younger, it gives off that playful vibe.

For my skirt, I went for an equally light colored item and wore my white button-down skirt. This piece can be worn for a lot of different occasions. The cotton fabric is so comfy that I would consider wearing it to class or a nice dinner out. The combination of these two items is reminiscent of a romper which is why I found it so easy to walk around in if you were traveling a lot this summer.

If you haven’t seen my last article, then you haven’t been introduced to my new obsession: my bandana. Trying to be cool, I thought it’d be a good idea to wear the bandana around my neck. It wasn’t the prettiest, so I decided to add it to a different area on my outfit: my purse.

To finish off the look, I stuck with my favorite, casual heels. They are the perfect height no matter where you’re off to. I love the way this outfit seems to appear effortlessly cool, perfect for the end of summer and for the beginning of the new semester. Here’s to a RAD year.
