STYLE GURU BIO: Grace Callis

Hi everyone! My name is Grace Callis, and I am so excited to be returning to CollegeFashionista this semester! I am currently a sophomore at the University of Missouri, studying textiles and apparel management with an emphasis in marketing and merchandising. I am so excited to share my perspective on fashion with all of you!

I would describe my personal style as classic, sophisticated and comfortable. Comfort is a major factor when I’m deciding what to wear. I try to choose pieces that look great, yet are comfortable enough to get me through the day. I especially love wearing dresses. They require so little effort but look like you spent a lot of time getting ready. My favorite places to shop are Nordstrom, francesca’s, J.Crew and Madewell! I also enjoy the versatility of dresses. They are simple and sophisticated on their own, but can also be dressed up or down to fit any occasion.

My inspiration for my personal style comes from a combination of current trends and the current season. For example, my inspiration for this particular outfit came from the holiday season and my love for dresses. The holiday season is my favorite to dress for. I love all the deep reds, greens and berry colors that make their way into the season. These colors are all very flattering and look great with any skin tone. Simply add a touch of sparkle or your favorite accessory (mine being my faux pearl necklace!) and you’re ready for the next holiday party.

I hope you have enjoyed my article! make sure to check back monthly for more style updates!
