STYLE GURU BIO: Gianna Cifalde

Hi Fashionistas! I’m Gianna and I attend Youngstown State University in Ohio (Go Penguins!). I am a sophomore majoring in hospitality management, but have a huge interest in fashion, social media and photography. Being chosen as a Style Guru for the fall semester is a great way to combine all my interests into one awesome internship! As a first-time blogger for CollegeFashionista, I am excited to use this opportunity as a way to deepen my knowledge about the latest fashion trends and to connect with the other Fashionistas!

Ever since I was a little girl, I always loved going on shopping sprees with my mom and putting together outfits. I even attempted to make my own fashion magazine using computer paper and a Polaroid camera. I remember my wardrobe consisted of multiple jean skirts, sparkly shirts from Justice and many Coach purses from the Poppy collection, which made their debut in 2009. Luckily, my style changed a lot since then!

My style now can range from completely girly, to very minimalistic and casual. I love dressing up and adding many accessories, like rings, bracelets and necklaces to my outfits. As you can see my outfit here, I chose to wear a cold-shoulder thermal because it’s perfect for the late summer/early fall time. Even though the material is thermal-like, the shirt is light and airy because of the cut out shoulders. I am also wearing a pair of distressed skinny jeans with crochet wedges to dress up the look. Some of my favorite stores/brands are PacSun, Bebe, American Eagle, Brandy Melville and Free People.

Some of my other interests include eating healthy, exercising and trying new smoothie recipes daily. I am a lover of all things that have to do with breakfast, coffee or ice cream. I take way too many pictures of my food and watched all nine seasons of The Office four different times. I also have a love for traveling, whether it be to another city or to another country! I hope to either study abroad for a semester, or become an intern for the Disney College Program!
