STYLE GURU BIO: Gabrielle LaRosa

Hello Fashionistas! My name is Gabrielle LaRosa and I am first-time Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I will be a senior starting this August at Quinnipiac University, and am majoring in Communications along with an English minor.

While my major is Communications, I have always had a passion for fashion. Putting outfits together whether it’s for myself or for my friends is something that really brings me joy. I love when an outfit that I first put together in my head actually comes to life. Creating outfits is something that I truly love to do.

One specific reason I feel that has allowed me to become a great Fashionista is my style. I don’t have just one style. I create different outfits with all different styles that fit the everyday girl. I love to mix trends along with mixing all different pieces that some would never think to put together. I love that my style is so diverse but still so relatable to so many people.

For my first style post, I created an everyday look that could work for the everyday girl. Whether you’re running around doing errands, heading into your casual work place or even grabbing lunch with some friends, this outfit is a go-to. It is comfortable, mixed with all different styles and pieces and the perfect accessory to complete the look. Finding an outfit for this in-between spring-summer weather is hard for most, so piecing together some fun summer white pieces with a mix of spring pieces allows this look to work.

I pieced together a white top with white ripped jeans, added an army green jacket to break up the all white assemble, stuck with my esperaldas instead of flip flops for now and added one of my favorite necklaces that really pulls together the entire outfit.

For me, creating an outfit that not only works for me but also works for others is what really made me love the fashion industry. With so many different looks, whichever one is your personal style they are all so fabulous.

Through CollegeFashionista, I cannot wait to help others create their own style while using multiple styles whether it be preppy, casual, boho chic or even athletic, whatever it may be, I know it can work. Stay updated with my style posts every Wednesday and create your own style your own way with a little guidance from me!
