STYLE GURU BIO: Fennzia Guerrier

Bonjour, Fashionistas! I’m Fennzia Guerrier, and I couldn’t be more excited to start my first semester of being a Style Guru. Originally from South Florida, I am now a student at the University of Florida with a major in public relations and a minor in French.

I first fell in love with fashion when I was young and watching That’s So Raven on Disney Channel. Watching Raven effortlessly make her own fashion designs sparked my passion for la mode. My biggest style inspirations of this generation are Rihanna and Kim Kardashian. They can wear whatever they want and effortlessly get away with it. I love that they’re living, breathing examples that as long as you like what you’re wearing, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. The clothes you wear are a form of expression, and I can’t wait to display that belief through my content.

Personally, I feel that my style is very versatile. I like to describe it as ’90s street wear mixed with girly chic. At times, I like to go for a minimalist vibe with a simple monochrome outfit or plain T-shirt paired with my favorite Adidas. I’m a huge believer in denim on denim; I love wearing mom jeans with my favorite thrifted denim jacket. I’m pretty sure every T-shirt pairs well with my favorite Adidas. All my friends like to call me the choker queen because I’m rarely seen without one on. This simple accessory can be a huge statement in any outfit by elevating a look to a new level.

Growing up, my mom used to tell me that school isn’t a fashion show, to which I would reply, “I didn’t choose the fashion life, Mom, the fashion life chose me.” My style is a part of my identity, and it’s a part that I love sharing with the world around me. If there’s one tip that I could share with you guys, it would be that no look is complete without wearing your confidence.

So, with confidence, I would like to tell you guys to be sure to follow me on all of my social media and stay in touch. This semester is going to be great!
