Back-to-school season is always about a new start, a new perspective and, of course, a new style. However, for me, this school year seems a little different.
After spending the whole summer doing an internship in Paris, I have learned more about about myself, my style and my goals than I ever thought was possible in a few short months. Now, as I return to CollegeFashionista for my second year as a Style Guru, I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned with this amazing community of Fashionistas/os.
Although I was heartbroken about leaving Paris, I returned to my favorite city, Philadelphia, with a renewed sense of appreciation and motivation. I am now entering my junior year at Temple University with complete focus on my goals and aspirations. This year is all about continuing to grow, loving my city and wearing any color lipstick I want.
This time, I opted to pair my favorite red lip with a few other favorite pieces. Growth doesn’t mean we have to forget where we came from. I paired my go-to black Converse with a staple black button-down skirt and my favorite off-the-shoulder top. To break up my all-black outfit, I added a maroon leather vest. To finish the look, I added two accessories that are close to my heart, my Elie Saab bag (all the way from Paris!) and my favorite cap to represent Philadelphia!
I’m so thankful for my amazing summer in Paris and even more thankful to come back to a school where I truly feel at home. I can’t wait to share more #stylegurulove from Philly this fall!
