Hi everyone! My name is Elizabeth Weitzel, I’m a senior at Michigan State University double majoring in English and professional writing with a focus on editing and publishing. Obviously, I love to read and write, so when I heard about the Style Guru internship at CollegeFashionista I thought it would be a cool way to combine my love for words and clothes in a way that would allow me to learn, but also have some fun! This will be my first semester as a Style Guru, and I couldn’t be more excited to kick off the school year!
Other than clothes, a few of my other interests I spend way too much money on include music and sporting events. You can find me at a concert in Detroit every few weeks, and you’ll definitely see me in the student section at football and basketball games. Go Green!
For my streetwear look I decided to combine a few of my favorite pieces for a neutral, every-day outfit that can be worn in the classroom or on a night out. The white Free People tee takes a spin on the classic white T-shirt by adding a few fun slits by the shoulders, which are perfect to hint at the lace bralette I chose to wear underneath. I then paired it with high-waisted black skinny jeans, and black chelsea boots which, in my opinion, are a must-have for any aspiring Fashionista. Finally for accessories, I like to do a some big pieces, but still keep it simple. I chose my classic Ray-Ban Wayfarers, a two-toned Calvin Klein purse and a few silver rings.
