STYLE GURU BIO: Caroline Verdic

Hi Fashionistas! My name is Caroline Verdic, and I am from New Jersey. I am currently a sophomore at Marist College, studying business marketing and fashion merchandising. I love fashion. I think it is amazing that so many people have their own unique style that fits their personality. I believe fashion is a way to express yourself through clothing and accessories. I always like to say, “Take a fashion risk, it will give people a reason to talk about you!” I live close to New York City and believe I get most of my inspiration from walking and observing the people in the city. I like to take a trend and put my own twist on it. My style changes on a daily basis. I can go from classic to boho, to trendy, to athleisure in one week! My inspiration also comes from magazines and social media. Instagram is a great source for spotting trends. I love following celebrities and trying to recreate their looks at more affordable prices.

Today’s outfit was inspired by NYC chic. I was looking for a casual, but fun look that I could wear for a great girl’s night out. I went with a sky blue floral romper. I paired it with a white crisscross tank top and tan lace-up heels. The heels are so comfortable. I can walk around and not have a pain in the world! I am also obsessed with accessories. I love my white dangle earrings from kate spade and of course the perfect pair of Salvatore Ferragamo sunglasses.

This past year has been such a whirlwind! I have learned so much from taking fashion classes at Marist, to getting inspiration from my classmates to enhancing my writing skills thanks to CollegeFashionista. I look forward to writing more articles and getting better with my writing. I also get inspired by reading other articles every day. I am so extremely happy and excited to continue my journey with the CollegeFashionista family, and I can’t wait to share my articles with you!

Don’t forget to stay RAD and be fab!
