Hey everyone! My name is Brittany Maniet and I’m back for another semester here at CollegeFashionista. I am a junior at Point Park University majoring in journalism. I am also a part of the cross country and track and field teams.
Personally, I have always had a love for fashion. Ever since I was little, I have been dressing up and drawing sketches. Originally, I really wanted to be a designer, but then I realized that I found a new love when I began high school: writing. That took me to the path that I am on today. I love writing people’s stories, whether it’s breaking news or a lifestyle piece. With my writing I hope to find a career in fashion journalism. I would love to write for a fashion magazine, talking about all of the latest tips and trends for looks. Even dealing with the social media side that is becoming even more prevalent in our world.
If I was to describe my style in a few words I would say classic, simple and boho. I like to take many basic pieces and create a unique look with them thats perfect for any day or night out. I take inspiration from many Instagram and YouTube beauty gurus, two favorites being Katy Bellotte and Carly Cristman.
With CollegeFashionista this semester I hope to be able to showcase my fashion as well as the fashion of others on my campus. I want to spread some of the latest trends and give some style tips and advice to all of my readers.
