Hi Fashionistas/os! I am a current rising junior at Bucknell University majoring in Creative Writing and Sociology. Writing has always been my passion, and like fashion, it has been one of the ways that I continue to discover and express who I am. As a writer, it is amazing to see how people can tell their stories through their style, without having to say a single word.

My style has definitely gone through a transformation from high school to my time at college. While the style at Bucknell University can be quite preppy, I have always found myself to be a more vintage and bohemian kind of girl. In high school I felt comfortable to wear whatever I wanted, even if that meant dressing a little outside of the norm. I experimented with different types of clothing in the pursuit of establishing a style that made me feel most like myself. Coming to the tight-knit and incredibly well-dressed community at Bucknell University, I lost a little bit of that feeling of freedom when it came to my personal style.

Now as a rising junior, I have gained a better perspective on expressing myself through fashion. I have found that style, no matter where you find yourself, is about staying true to who you are, even if that means differing from your peers. Fashion, I have discovered, can be a fantastic form of personal rebellion.

My style is pretty simple, but with a few key pieces. Here I am wearing my very favorite pair of jeans with a plain white tank. With these high-waisted and flared jeans, I feel like I took a step into the ’70s. When it comes to jewelry, no matter what I am wearing, my rings are always glued to my fingers. I also love this bohemian style necklace that adds something extra to my spin on the classic jeans and T-shirt style.

I am so excited to bring to you some killer personal styles during my time at the shore and in the Caribbean this summer. From shades, to sandals, to high-waisted jeans…stay tuned!
