STYLE GURU BIO: Amanda Null

Greetings fashion lovers! My name is Amanda and I am a senior at Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. This is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and I can’t wait to start showing how stylish we Bloomsburg students really are.

Last semester, I was fortunate enough to be able to study abroad in Europe. I am now settling in back at my home after my six-month stay in Aarhus, Denmark. My time abroad was truly fabulous and the people there really know how to dress themselves well. I can honestly say that my current style significantly reflects the classic European look after my experience. I now have a new appreciation for clean-cut lines and my new favorite, chunky heels! Though I am sad I had to leave Aarhus, I am happy to be back at my home university with my friends.

The one thing I definitely need in my life is a much bigger closet. My style is forever changing, and I am constantly looking for a new look while still being money savvy. I always look for the best deals because lets be honest, saving money is a priority for almost everybody with a normal-sized bank account. However, that doesn’t mean my look is cheap. I always stay within the trends and consistently stand out from the crowd. Plus, when the clothes are less money, you can afford to buy many more looks. That’s how I’ve always done it, and I will always make my fashion decisions in a fiscally responsible manner.

Thrift stores are my go-to. Most people are afraid to even step into a used clothing store, but I actually prefer them! I love clothes that have a story and really embody a one-of-a-kind uniqueness. I really enjoy finding a piece of clothing that someone wouldn’t take a second look at. I take those pieces and put my own twist on them, creating a piece that any stylish Fashionista would envy. Finding unique accessories like gaudy jewelry, bracelets and hats is a simple way to spice up any outfit and can easily be found in any store, especially thrift stores.

Over the course of this semester, I plan to feature young women and men who have styles that are as unique as mine. and really stand out from the crowd. As for my goals, I plan to break out of my shell and explore new horizons for my own personal style along with improving my overall writing skills. I urge you all to join me in my new journey and check out my posts every Monday to see what’s new!
