STYLE GURU BIO: Allison Smith

Hello all! My name is Allison and I am back for my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista. As the warm days of summer fade and classes resume, the thrills of fall are just around the corner. For me, there is no better time for fashion than these coming months. It is so easy to cozy up in comfy sweaters and stylish coats, and don’t forget the plethora of boots that we always accumulate. Here in New England, the sights and smells alone make saying goodbye to the freedom of summer a bit more bearable. Fall is truly a time for change, beginnings and endings.

With college move in underway, my junior year is already off to a great start. It seems so surreal as I remember moving into my first year dorm like it was yesterday. Since that day however, I have grown and matured as a person, and my style is certainly reflecting that. I’ve traded in bold colors for neutrals and black remains a staple of my wardrobe. Long gone are the days of color blocking and bright colors. I’d describe my personal style as classic with a love for versatile and timeless pieces. This is true for my black long sleeve dress and brown vegan leather tote bag. Both pieces are wardrobe staples and can be worn during the day or taken out for the night.

When I’m not writing or thinking about fashion, I am a hard-working college student and intern. I am a loyal subject to my planner and keep myself busy to avoid binge shopping and pure boredom. This semester is filled with new experiences and opportunities and I can not wait to see what the future has in store for me.

Let’s have a RAD semester!
