Hey guys! My name is Alexa Casimir. I am from a small beach town in Connecticut and am about to enter my junior year at Michigan State University. I am currently majoring in Economics and will soon be specializing in Entrepreneurship. The reason I chose to venture down that major and specialization path is because my ultimate goal is to open my own version of a Bloomingdale’s.
But before I go into all of that, let me take you on a quick walk down memory lane. For everyone who knows me this may come as a shocker, but I was once a tomboy: I hated shopping and I hated fashion. Wow do things change! In sixth grade with the help of my mother, who is already in the fashion industry, I officially blossomed into the fashion loving diva I am today.
Now that I’m in college my style has definitely broadened from my original comfort zone. I would definitely say my style is trendy and you will constantly find me on Instagram looking at celebrities’ pages or on clothing stores page’s to ensure I’m updated on the latest trends. From workout wear to sorority formals, I’m always up to date on what looks good and how to style it. I cannot wait to show you guys the latest trends!
What I’m wearing above is one of my favorite outfits for early fall. This outfit is perfect for early fall since it’s still relatively warm outside, so you definitely don’t want to wear heavy fabrics. The lace black sleeveless shirt brings a very feminine look to this outfit. The classic black denim from Citizens of Humanity paired with pink heels from Chinese Laundry makes this outfit perfect for an under the radar day to night outfit transition. Lastly, what’s a good outfit without accenting accessories? I chose to go a little on the trendier side (are we really surprised here?) with the black and silver Hermès Clic Clac H bracelet, the Hermès Collier de Chien leather studded bracelet and Ralph Lauren gold studded earrings. What makes me truly love this outfit is how something so simple can work for any occasion.
I am so excited to be a Style Guru this semester for the CollegeFashionista team and I know this opportunity will bring me one step closer to fulfilling my dreams and future goal.
