STYLE ADVICE: Weekend Wear-Abouts

I’m not sure about you guys, but the second semester of college is kicking my butt. The work load is heavier than ever, and the classes are dragging on. The only way I seem to get myself through is knowing a relaxing weekend is at the finish line of it all.

Saturday morning finally rolled around, and  I was walking outside in leggings, sneakers, and a loose-fitting T-shirt. Not so Fashionista of me, I know. I bumped into this fellow fashion lover and wished we could switch outfits. Not only did she look put together, she was comfortable as well. Two of my favorite things!

It’s often so easy to just throw on the first thing you find and dress for comfort, rather than for style. However, it can be just as easy to accomplish both. This Fashionista paired a pair of black leggings with a fitted olive T-shirt and a mauve chunky cardigan. She finished off the look with some black combat boots and a choker—another favorite of mine.

My advice for you all is to take a look in your closet and pick out your favorite and most comfortable pieces. Knowing your wardrobe is just as important as styling your clothes! Pick out a few tops and bottoms that feel great on your body. If you’re a dress or skirt person, pick out your most comfortable ones. When you know your options, finding an outfit becomes much easier. When you have your staple comfortable pieces in mind, you can just grab them and go. You’ll get the peace of mind knowing that you will be comfortable and stylish all day long.
