STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Workout Wear

You can’t deny that wearing athletic workout clothes outside of the gym has become not only socially acceptable, but fashionable.  With fashion “it” girls like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid constantly out and about in their workout gear, it is hard to ignore this very prevalent trend and change in street style.  With this in mind, I decided to turn to one of Tulane’s most fit Fashionistas to see how she styles her workout wear.

As opposed to most trends, workout wear is all about being practical and comfortable.  Instead of putting in a lot of effort to wear some uncomfortable ensemble in painful shoes, you can just throw together some stylish workout clothes to create an effortless but chic look.  So how does one pull off this look? Completing this look is as simple as putting together edgy leggings, a cute sports bra, running shoes and a jacket to top it off.

Personally, I like to sport this look when I am feeling lazy about putting together an outfit and mostly when I am late for class.  It is a great solution to looking put together when you’re on the go or when you’re not quite feeling like getting dressed up for class.  I always pair my workout gear with a bomber jacket in winter because it is both practical and on trend.
