STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Welcoming The Cold Weather

November 19th, 2015 at 2:00am

Now we all know that there is an elephant in the room. No one wants to talk about it, and no one wants to acknowledge the obvious—winter is coming. Although many of us may dread it, the reality is that our time in light jackets and minimal layering is short-lived. But fear no more my Fashionistas, this month’s post will solve all of your winter style worries. Let’s welcome the cold weather with open arms, while we are looking and feeling our best.

The key to feeling good in what you wear this upcoming season is having the right outerwear which won’t cover up your outfit, but will enhance it. This Fashionista knows how to do it right as she rocks the most #RAD wool camel coat I have ever seen. This coat is great for so many reasons. First, it will keep you warm on those dreaded walks to early morning classes. Next, the camel color, along with the length, makes this piece wearable with almost anything. Dress it up with a cute turtleneck, black jeans and pointed-toe Chelsea boots like this Fashionista did, or throw on a hoodie, some leggings and a pair of running shoes and call it a day.

Besides the fact that this coat is so versatile, it is also an outfit elevator. It takes any simple look to the next level in an instant—cold weather doesn’t have to take the fun out of fashion! Accessorize this coat with a wide brim hat, some leather gloves or a faux fur pelt for some additional chicness (and warmth). This Fashionista is owning the cold weather, so try this look out for yourself and say bye-bye to those bad weather blues.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I am jacket obsessed and I like to pick main pieces that are classic and simplistic so that I can wear them with multiple looks and outfits.”
