STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Transitional Times

With cold mornings, scorching afternoons and breezy nights, it’s hard to know what to wear these days. The transition from summer to fall seems to be lasting forever; and while I know I’ll be begging for the sun in a couple of months, I am definitely ready for sweater weather.

This look is the perfect in-between-season style.  With the layered top and simple jewelry, it is effortlessly chic. Not to mention, entirely practical for a day at school.

A slightly oversized, striped T-shirt or sweater is the perfect layering piece for these September days.  It’s light enough that you won’t be drenched in sweat walking across campus, but will still keep you warm on your morning commute to class.

Although some may say this trend is dead, I still fully believe skinny jeans are always acceptable. This simple dark wash is the perfect contrast to her oversized top, giving all the attention to her stripes. P.S:. did you know that people who wear skinny jeans are more likely to be happy? It’s true, Qualtrics said so. I bet that means they’re more likely to do better in school too!

Neutral sandals with extra comfort tie this outfit together perfectly. The combination of the slingback with a closed toe makes these sandals great for these semi-summer but almost autumn days.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Be yourself! I always make sure that I feel comfortable in what I’m wearing and that it allows me to express myself in a creative way.”
