STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: The Bold and the Briefcase

One thing can unite all college students: the drive to move up the scale of in the direction of a dream career. Competition is thick when considering the quantity of these upcoming dreamers. How does one distinguish oneself in a sea of black, gray and white business attire? This Fashionisto took Pink Floyd’s lyrics to heart, figuring out the formula to not be, “Just another brick in the wall.”

The Fashionisto, an aspiring student admitted to the Wisconsin School of Business, knows how to compete. His strategy: divergent continuity in the business setting.

Rather than focusing on basic neutrals, he takes a chance with a pair of navy blue, fit dress pants. He then couples this with a red and navy blue, polka-dotted tie. Additionally, he matches brown oxford style shoes with a brown belt. His consistency does not end there. He takes it a step further by matching a silver tie clip to a silver belt buckle. A matte gray watch complements the gray hues, completing yet another pattern.

The presentation is perfect for any college student on the pursuit of business success. He keeps it bold with his memorable color choices, yet avoids clashing by making sure these choices are compatible with one another.

Now that is what the future employers will refer to as a sharp dressed man!
