STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Sweater And Shorts Weather

My favorite things to do during the autumn season include admiring the changing, vibrant colors in leaves, devouring slices of delicious pumpkin pie and, of course, wearing warm, loose-knit sweaters. I have yet to meet anyone who does not own at least one or two sweaters in their closet. What I love about sweaters is that I can wear as many layers as I want with them and still look effortlessly stylish and prepared for the incoming cold.

But what should you wear when the fall weather can be unpredictable, especially during the seasonal transition? What should you wear if you know that you have to dress for both chilly mornings and hot and humid afternoons?
On school days, when we’re going to and from classes, we usually don’t pack a change of clothes in our backpack; even when we do want to change into something more breathable than the tight jeans that we often pair with our sweaters, we can’t. To my realization, there is a quick and easy solution that will help us combat the constantly changing temperatures of fall—shorts. Yes, it seems like shorts are not only exclusively for summer after all. Note how this hip Fashionista pairs her comfy striped sweater with a pair of clean, cut-off shorts (and lets her personal style shine through with some snazzy sunglasses). The simplicity and looseness of her sweater and shorts give the overall look a minimalist feel that any Fashionista or Fashionisto can emulate. Best of all, you don’t have to switch outfits during the day if you decide to join the sweater and shorts-wearing posse!
Now, it seems like the possibilities for wearing sweaters are more numerous than ever.
