STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Street Style Suede

November 12th, 2015 at 2:00am

Attention everyone: suede is back and we approve. Suede was very popular during the ’70s amongst the hippies population and has slowly made its return back into our closets and we couldn’t be happier. You may be asking, what’s so great about suede? Well, for starters, suede is the material that you can always count on to keep you warm during the fall and winter seasons. Whether you’re wearing a suede jacket or suede skirt, like this Fashionista, it is guaranteed that no wind will be breaking through that suede. Another reason why suede is a great material is its appearance: its camel color and simple structure is sleek and classic, giving any ensemble an effortless touch.

This Fashionista is wearing a suede skirt with a black crop top, burgundy cardigan, high-knee socks and black booties. She kept her accessories at a minimal with only Ray-ban sunglasses, a simple silver heart necklace and a black floppy hat. Her whole ensemble is cute, comfortable and serves as the perfect outfit for the cold weather. This Fashionista is basically a professional at thrifting, so she was able to snag her suede skirt from a local thrift shop. Because we all can’t be as talented of a thrifter as this Fashionista, there are other stores where you can find a suede skirt that is equally as perfect as the one on this Fashionista. Abercrombie & Fitch, NASTY GAL and Free People, along with other great stores, have amazing suede skirts that come in an assortment of different fits and colors. With suede being so popular nowadays, you will have no problem in finding the perfect suede skirt or suede anything!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: “Invest in anything suede. Yes, it can be relatively pricey, but it is so worth it! Suede can vamp up any outfit, will keep you warm during the cold weather and you’ll look hot in it. Seriously, go buy it now.”
