STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Simply Saucy

Be still my beating heart, autumn is upon us! It’s the most wonderful time of the year, if I do say so myself. The fall color schemes, the booties and the pumpkin spice drinks are enough to keep me happy all season. However, before you’re in a rush to grab those bomber jackets and Timberland boots, enjoy the subtle weather shift from summer to fall. Some may wonder how to blend their seasonal wardrobes, but have no fear! I am here to teach you how to keep it cute and simple.

Leggings have somewhat become a year-round fashion staple; however they’re best suited in the colder months. Stocking up on a few pairs of cute colored leggings will definitely come in handy for any Fashionista who lives life on the go. The Fashionista pictured is rocking tan leggings, a black and white ’90s-inspired horizontal striped crop top, booties and some dashing sunglasses. Her look shows that simple pieces can come together easily for an outfit that slays. The neutral color palette pops out wonderfully on her skin, and this Fashionista still stands out in the crowd.

I have three simple pieces of advice for transitioning your seasonal wardrobe. Tip #1: Hold off on the Uggs. Big boots time will come. Patience is a virtue. Tip #2: Don’t shy away from crop tops or sleeveless shirts because it’s chilly. This tip probably goes against everything your mom has ever taught you, but jackets are easy to throw on if the weather doesn’t permit showing skin. Tip #3: Sunglasses are always in season. Many people don’t think about their specs once summer comes to an end, but sunglasses add flare to any outfit. Also, you can never have too many pairs of sunglasses. Keep on being stylish and stay cool.
